Halloween (as celebrated in American popular culture) is a family favorite. Here I share five songs and two verses that are favorites in our family and with the children I teach:
 
Five Little Pumpkins Verse - movement verse, well-suited for preschoolers
Ghost of John Canon - fully diatonic; a favorite of older children.
Hallowe'en* - diatonic, suitable for elementary and up.
It Must Be Halloween! Verse - suitable for preschool and early elementary.
Pumpkin, Pumpkin** - a game song, fun for all ages.
Skin and Bones - a call and response song, suitable for early elementary and up.
Witch, Witch* - game song, suitable for all ages.
