4-Hour Mom

During January 2012 I continued becoming conscious of elements of my life that were dragging me down and I began to dig out of them. (Actually, I have a fantastic, blessed life, but I do have many ways of working that are not serving me well, and yes, dragging me down.) Obviously, as I write this, it’s fresh. I’ve been reading the 4-Hour Work Week. (This book is, admittedly, not for everyone and seemingly not readily family-friendly, because the young guy who wrote it was not figuring in all the work it takes Moms/ Parents/ homemakers do (and, yes HAVE TO DO) to nurture a family. But, the principles seem to work for me thus far and I will be blogging about adapting them to Simplicity Living for families.)

This blog has a category for Simplicity, so you can click on that under the categories on the left menu. Just about every aspect of my work as a homemaker could be affected, so there will be lots to blog about and lots of tips and ideas for other families who are seeking Simplicity.

  1. I look forward to see how you digest and incorporate 4 Hour into your life, Rachel. I’m sure there will be something in it for me (she said, selfishly), so, I wait…
    Love, Mom
